Slowthai is back with more new music and new visuals for his latest release BB (Bodybag) produced by Dom Walker of Mount Kimbie. Looks like Slowthai is in full album mode as this is the third release to come out from him in recent weeks. Slowthai has also recently released records “Magic” with Production from Kenny Beats and “Enemy” with Production from Thai himself, Samo and Kwes Darko.

Check out the new video above and click here to check out new records “Magic” and “Enemy” as well. Not sure on when the new album might drop but hopefully it comes sooner rather than later. Stay tuned for more information as it lands.

UPDATE: Since releasing BB, Producer Dom Walker of Mountkimbie took to Instagram to talk a little bit about the production of the record and how it came about. Check out his recent post below.

Me and Thai made Bodybag when he came out to LA for a little while in January, we went to Truth Studios (thanks to @nickbretonmusic at Truth who recorded all the vox). We wanted to start something fresh and listened through a load of little pieces I’d made up, including that chopped sample of James singing and playing piano. There was so much character and atmosphere in that one simple loop, thats why I love sampling and working with James’ voice and piano playing, I can’t ever shake these loops from my mind, they haunt me! (Damn you! @jamesblake 😂) Thai was writing v fast to it and then rushing into the booth and smashing out verse after verse. From first hearing that loop we had the song in about 2 hours! Sometimes everything just flows perfectly and that’s all you need. After that, over the next few months, I was obsessed with trying to get the instrumental just right! I struggle doing drums, but I’m starting to learn them! I went to New York for a bit and @joshstadlen added the flute/string sound for the build up and then I recorded him doing the ‘evil laugh’ of the villain and making all the other sound designy stuff, one of my fav parts of producing is making stupid recordings of myself on voice memo, emulating random people or sounds. Thought I’d share just a little insight into the process of making this track as I’ve had quite a few questions about it. Shoutout to everyone who helped make this one. And to Andy and @bytherest for an amazing video. Lots of love and stay tuned, because we made more that day! Dom x 📸 @joshinfilm
